Friday 25th May was the last day of school for the Ratcliffe College ‘Class of 2018’. Year 13 marked this special day with a wonderfully entertaining and poignant Leavers’ Assembly which encapsulated all that makes this year group so special. After lessons in the morning, the students enjoyed reading and signing the new look Yearbooks, before a celebratory barbecue in the Square. In the afternoon, the students ‘let off steam’ after all their hard work in giant table football, a bungee eliminator and a 75 ft assault course in the school grounds.
The day culminated in an inspiring and prayerful Leavers’ Mass attended by students, staff and parents. We were delighted to welcome President of the Ratcliffian Association, Sebako Siame, to make presentations to our leavers at the end of the service. The Mass was followed by a most enjoyable champagne reception in the Refectory. My thanks to Mr Newman (Head of Year 13), staff and all the students for such a successful and enjoyable day.
