Friday 12th October 2018 saw Ratcliffe College Prep School qualify through to the U11 Girls Hockey IAPS National Finals for the first time, ever. The tournament took place at the Nottingham Hockey Centre, where 22 Prep Schools from across the Midlands played high level Hockey. Outstanding teamwork, determination and very talented and skilled Hockey players meant the girls where unbeaten in their 7 matches on the day, apart from in penalty strokes against Foremarke Hall.
The girls progressed from the group stages, into the quarter finals, then into the semi-finals and then into the 3rd/4th place play offs. Here they won 2-0 against Yarm Prep School and secured their very well deserved place in the National Finals, which are due to take place on Wednesday 21st November 2018 at Rugby School. “We would like to congratulate our girls on their incredible achievement so far and to wish them the best of luck in the up-coming finals,” Miss Stanley (U11 Girls’ Coach) and Mr Faulconbridge (Head of Prep School Sport) commented.
