This course is designed to develop critical thinking, independent learning and strong foundational knowledge across a range of GCSE subjects. This challenging, yet rewarding programme welcomes students to join the two-year course (Year 10 and Year 11).
With a wide selection of GCSE subjects, students can tailor their learning to their strengths and interests, gaining valued skills and qualifications.
Small class sizes on this course benefit our students as they are provided with individual attention from their dedicated teachers. The additional time allows students to grow with confidence, and develop expertise in their learning in all curriculum areas.
Our two-year GCSE programme is ideal for students aiming to advance to A Levels, IB, or other higher education studies, opening many pathways to universities and careers worldwide.

English as an Additional Language – Level of Entry
To join the two-year GCSE programme we recommend international students are at Level B1 to cope with the British curriculum and examination requirements. At Ratcliffe, we aim for students to achieve at least B2 by the end of the course (Year 11), as entry into Year 12 (Sixth Form) requires students to be at B2 level, or above.
