Golf

Ratcliffe College has a vibrant golf programme which runs throughout the year on a Friday evening. It offers students from Years 7 – 13 the opportunity to work on their game in the driving range in the winter months and play regularly on the Par 3 course when the weather improves.

We are very lucky to have some amazing courses locally and we visit Beedles Lake weekly, while we also play several golf fixtures at Rothley Golf Club. Both golf clubs offer excellent facilities for the students, including driving ranges, practice areas and par three courses, plus the main courses. Golf lessons are also offered to students at different times throughout the year.

The students enjoy a range of matches from National Schools Competitions, Staff v Students and House Golf, all helping them to increase their love for the game of golf. We currently have a number of players who also represent Leicestershire County at Golf.

The school also tours at the end of each year, with previous venues including; Turnberry, St Andrew’s, Royal Portrush and Royal Porthcawl, to name just a few.
