In the Summer Term, all of our Year 10 Triple Award Physics students sat the British Physics Olympiad Year 10 Challenge. This competition, run by the University of Oxford, is designed to engage and challenge students of all abilities by offering them a range of problems to solve. About 6400 students took part from approximately 140 schools, with 34 of the entries coming from our Year 10 Triple Physics students at Ratcliffe College. 6 of our students achieved a Bronze Award, placing them in the top 40% of all students taking the test, and 3 students achieved a Silver Award placing them in the top 21%. The best score of our students was achieved by Ihuoma Osuji. The students who achieved these awards can be seen below, and all students who took the test will achieve a participation certificate and should be very proud of their efforts – very well done, indeed!
