Ratcliffe College would like to thank the Parents’ Association for their incredible support this past academic year. With their generous contributions amounting to a total of £29,473, which they have contributed towards or fully funded resources for many departments and activities.
Some of these items include visualisers for the English department, scoreboards for Hockey and Netball, Toniebox audio systems for storytelling in our Nursery, soft chairs in the recording studio and music stands and brass instruments for our Preparatory Music department. In addition, funds were used towards furniture for the new outdoor seating area adjacent to the Sixth Form Café, as well as a large contribution towards the new bouldering wall in the Preparatory School.
The impact of these purchases is of immediate benefit to students from our early years right up to Sixth Form. We could not be more appreciative of the PA’s hard work and dedication–we owe them great thanks!
Mrs Sarah Elsby, Chair of the Parents’ Association, wishes to highlight the amazing efforts of voluntary members, with a special mention to the ladies operating Ratcliffe’s uniform shop, who work tirelessly week in and week out.
She told us: “I am so grateful to all our volunteer members who attend meetings, help to co-ordinate a multitude of various events, give up their time and of course, to the parents who come along and support our events. We were also able to draw on some of our reserves from previous years to ensure that we could support the school for a number of larger items, like the climbing wall and the scoreboards, which were only made available thanks to our donations.”
