On Tuesday 5th June, Mr Neville (Assistant Head) visited Rushey Mead Academy to speak to students in years 9 to 11 about applying to Oxford and Cambridge and how to ‘stand out from the crowd’ in UCAS applications. The talk was very well attended and forms part of a wider outreach partnership which has been developed between Ratcliffe and Rushey Mead this year.
Rushey Mead Academy students have, since the start of the Spring Term, been joining our own students, attending our INSPIRE programme and Higher Education events, and exciting plans are in place to develop our partnership further as part of our commitment to benefit the students of both schools. As a key element of our vision to develop students with a strength of purpose, we feel it is most important for our students to have an awareness of the local community and to understand the importance of developing relationships beyond our immediate boundaries.
Mr James Neville
Assistant Head, Head of Sixth Form
