The happiness, safety and wellbeing of every single student is central to everything we do here at Ratcliffe College. From the first day your child walks through our doors, right through to the day they leave us and go onto the world of work or Higher Education, we make sure every student feels fully supported throughout. You’ll get contact time with Head of Year as well as a personal tutor, who you can meet individually or as part of a group for formal meetings or a casual talk. We also have dedicated members of Boarding Staff who live on site and are always on call to help any way they can.
The school facilities and grounds are perfectly designed for student wellbeing, with an on-site Chapel for prayer and meditation as well as the beautiful Lockhart garden which provides a calm and tranquil space if you need some quiet time during the busy day.
Students also get regular PSHCE (Personal, Social, Health and Citizenship Education) sessions, which focus on everything from mental health, to relationship advice, social media and charity work.
Here at Ratcliffe College we are extremely proud that we achieved the Gold Anti-Bullying award and have a student Samaritans scheme, which provides an opportunity to talk to peers of the same age group about any potential problems.
We also have onsite medical staff at all times, the medical centre is open 24 hours a day and our caring team are available to help all students with short term and long term physical and mental health matters.
