We don’t just focus on your time here, we focus on what happens once you leave the school too, helping you make decisions to start the next chapter in your life and make a positive difference wherever that may be. The aim of Careers Education at Ratcliffe is to enable our students to make well-informed choices and study options and to be well prepared to make these transitions as they move beyond the College.
We have a dedicated Careers office and staff who offer individual support at every step of the way. Students can make private appointments to help them make informed choices, they also receive guidance and support with applications, interviews and personal statement writing. Students can also make use of our alumni network; members of which often offer lectures, mentoring and work experience opportunities.
Students have access to an award-winning, online careers platform. This allows them to compare every undergraduate university course, apprenticeship, and college course across the UK. They can also explore exciting additional opportunities by looking at English taught programmes available in Europe and the USA. The Careers staff are well practiced in supporting our students with a variety of applications. These include Oxbridge, Medical, Veterinary and Dentistry schools, UCAS and Apprenticeships.
Ratcliffe offer EAL courses too, so not only can you surround yourself in a new English speaking environment, but you can also develop your speaking, reading and writing. Having this skill and being bilingual as an international student can open many doors for your future career.
