Our series of external speakers within the Ratcliffe College INSPIRE programme began last night for the new academic year. The first of this year’s speakers was student recruitment officer Will Hollis from the University of Nottingham with some insider tips for applying to competitive universities and structuring an effective personal statement which strongly aligns to your chosen course.
The event was well attended by Year 12 and 13 students alike and preceded pizza and drinks for the first of this year’s sixth form socials.
Students are currently helping to compile a ‘wish list’ of careers and disciplines that they would like to see covered within the rest of this year’s programme. The talks are open to students from within Year 10-13 and are advertised throughout the school in advance.
