There was standing room only at this week’s INSPIRE as we welcomed Old Ratcliffian, Andrew Finan, who offered a captivating presentation: ‘Entrepreneurship: Making Luck and Learning Lessons’.
Andrew’s illustrious and varied career has seen him write a critically-acclaimed business book ‘Corporate Christ’, create a multi-award winning language game, KLOO, and enjoy a period as Managing Director at IMG, global leader in fashion, sports and fashion.
Sarah Astill (Year 12) writes: ‘The most important thing that I learned from Mr Finan is that it is sometimes okay to fail – it is not the end of the world. For us to be ultimately successful, we are always going to have that one day where everything goes wrong, or that one job that doesn’t work out. If we set our minds to it, we will succeed.’
