On Friday 20th January Our Year 10,12 and 13 Drama students enjoyed a workshop run by Steve Miller, from renowned theatre company Frantic Assembly. Their aim is to create visually engaging theatre through their physical performance style alongside music and text.
Frantic assembly are a popular practitioner for students to study at GCSE and A level and through the workshop our students were able to learn, ‘the importance of giving and receiving in acting, being open minded and able to work closely with people you may not know so well’ ‘We also enjoyed devising through movement rather than overthinking storylines. I found that music hugely affected the way a piece of movement could be read by the audience.’ (Sophie Dring and Natasha Walsh yr13)
