Examination Invigilators

We are seeking to appoint examination invigilators to commence on a casual basis.  No previous experience is required as full training, including a period of shadowing, is provided along with annual update sessions.

The role requires excellent organisational skills, flexibility, diligence, and attention to detail to ensure the fair and proper conduct of all examinations which take place within the College.  

It is essential, and a key College expectation, that invigilators are available during all examination seasons; however, we welcome applications from candidates that may already have regular commitments on fixed days. The examination seasons are typically two weeks early to mid-November; two weeks February/March and the main summer season from early May to late June.. There are also ad hoc dates, including some Saturdays for the Cambridge English examinations. 

All successful candidates will need to be available for an induction session and period of shadowing on the following dates:

• Thursday 3rd October 2024 – 9.00am – 1.00pm (approximately) – Mandatory Induction session
• 4th November 2024 – 15th November 2024 (inclusive) – Year 11 GCSE Mock examinations

In addition all successful candidates should be available during the following 24/25 exam periods:

• 24th February 2025 – 7th March 2025 (inclusive) – Year 13 A Level Mock examinations
• 6th May – 25th June 2025 (inclusive) – Summer Examination period

Salary: £11.44 per hour plus £1.38 annual leave payment. Enhanced rates of pay are available when acting as a reader/scribe – currently £12.55 per hour, plus annual leave payment (full training provided).
