Welcome to our Prep School

In a beautiful but ever-changing world, we believe certain life skills and qualities are invaluable. At Ratcliffe we encourage our pupils to believe in themselves; empathise with others; to be guided by a strong moral and spiritual compass; to be independent-minded and reflective; to embrace challenge; and to be quietly confident and truly collaborative in a team environment.

The Prep School at Ratcliffe is for boys and girls from 3-11. For those children wishing to join us from their third birthday, a wonderful world is opened up to them in our Nursery as they join our Cygnets classes. At the end of their Reception year (Swans) the children move to our main building, which houses our 5-11 year olds.

Drawing from our Rosminian heritage we offer a broad range of academic and extra-curricular activities within a very caring and joyful community, where individuality is valued and intellectual curiosity is nurtured and encouraged. Our approach is designed to encourage our children to express joy for life and to cherish life-long learning.
