Duke of Edinburgh’s Award

The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award holds significant popularity at Ratcliffe College, with a substantial portion of students in each year group actively pursuing their Bronze level. Furthermore, many students opt to continue their participation by advancing through the Silver and Gold levels of the award scheme.

Students at Ratcliffe College can register for a Bronze Award once they reach Year 9, and they have the freedom to choose the activities that align with their interests and aspirations. Whether they decide to pursue existing hobbies or embark on new endeavors, the focus is on fostering personal growth and development.

The Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards are attainable by all students, and by completing the Award, individuals showcase their aptitude for teamwork, resilience in the face of challenges, determination to overcome obstacles, and their unwavering drive to succeed. Colleges, universities, and employers hold the DofE Award in high regard, recognising the valuable skills and attributes it signifies in individuals.
